Summer Camp Zillertal

For the fifth time, the WeihnachtsZauber Gendarmenmarkt invited 31 children of the Anna-Lindh-School Berlin for one week into the most active valley of Austria. Helmut Russ, organizer of the WeihnachtsZauber Gendarmenmarkt compiled together with the Zillertal Tourismus GmbH an exciting program for the Berlin little rascals from the problematic district Wedding.
“Healthy food & motion” is the theme of this trip. Naturally the fun had the highest priority.
Highlights of the summer trip 2011 were climbing a via ferrata, a ride with the historical Zillertal steam train, rafting on the Ziller in Mayrhofen, as well as hikes with cooking courses at the Kristallhütte in Hochzillertal and the Spieljoch in Fügen. The visit of an alp in the Schwarzachtal and the ErlebnisSennerei in Mayrhofen made the children eyes glowing.
